Charity Activities for Kids: Volunteering Ideas & Resources

How Can Kids Make a Difference on International Day of Charity?

Do you know that various research has revealed that “ONLY” in the world’s richest countries, over 69 million children live in poverty? These kids do not get equal opportunities for a good education; moreover, the lifespan of kids born in poor areas is shorter than those born in wealthy areas. In 2024, over 692 million people are estimated to live in extremely poor conditions without access to basic necessities. Their entire society is malnourished and is prone to many dangerous diseases. Based on the dire poverty situation, the United Nations (UN) came up with the idea of an “International Day of Charity” to be celebrated each year on 5th September. It is a global event that aims to eradicate poverty through charitable activities and pave the way for individuals to contribute to social change. This event is the perfect opportunity for kids and families to participate in acts of kindness and support charitable causes that will help develop empathy and social responsibility in our kids. Let’s discover charitable activities for kids and educational resources to make a difference together.
