International Day of Listening Activities and Social Skills Worksheets

The International Day of Listening is held on the third Thursday of September. This 12-page printable pack helps children aged 3–6 notice sounds, match them to their source and practise careful listening.

About This Worksheet

Good listening is a skill children can practise like any other. These pages make sound the theme: children colour things that make a sound, match animal sounds such as Woof Woof and Moo Moo to the right animal, and sort sounds into loud and soft.

The pack also includes a beginning-sound page, which links listening to early phonics, plus a maze, counting and I Spy page for variety.
