About This Worksheet
Each page shows a number and its word at the top, such as 12 and TWELVE, with a short task like “Help the snake to reach the hole. Follow 12.” The grid is filled with the target number and other numbers close to it, so your child has to look carefully to find the right path.
Early pages mix small numbers such as 1, 2 and 3. Later pages mix teen numbers such as 18, 19 and 20, which look alike and need closer attention. Every maze has a start picture and a finish picture to keep it fun.
Skills Your Child Practises
- Recognising numbers 1 to 20
- Telling apart numbers that look alike

Frequently Asked Questions
How does a Find the Path worksheet work?
Your child follows only the boxes that show the target number, from the start picture to the finish picture, like a simple maze.
Why are other numbers in the grid?
The extra numbers are close to the target, such as 18 and 19 on the page for 20, so your child practises telling similar numbers apart.
What age is this for?
Ages 3–6. Start with the single-digit pages and move on to the teen numbers when your child is ready.
What if my child cannot finish a maze?
Find the next box together, or switch to an earlier page and come back to it later.
