About This Worksheet
Each page shows a large numeral with its number word, such as 7 and SEVEN, alongside three groups of everyday pictures: 7 puppets, 7 toys and 7 bananas. Seeing the same quantity in three different groups helps your child understand that a number tells you how many, whatever the objects are.
Pages 1 to 10 cover the numbers children usually learn first, and pages 11 to 20 move into the teen numbers and 20, where counting larger groups takes more care. The pages work as a counting book, as large number cards or as one-page-a-day practice.
Skills Your Child Practises
- Recognising numerals 1 to 20
- Reading number words from one to twenty
- Counting objects one by one
- Linking a number to a quantity

Frequently Asked Questions
What age are these counting worksheets for?
They are made for ages 3–6. Younger children can start with pages 1 to 10, and older children can work through to 20.
Should my child do all 20 pages at once?
No. One or two pages a day works best, so each number gets proper attention.
My child counts the same picture twice. What helps?
Ask them to touch each picture as they count, or tick it lightly with a pencil once it has been counted.
Can I use these pages as number cards?
Yes. Each page focuses on one number, so you can print them and use them as large number cards.
