About This Worksheet

Urdu letters change shape when they join their neighbours. On each page, the full letters sit in one column and their half shapes (adhi ashkal) in the other, and your child draws a line to match them.

This is an important bridge to reading, because almost every Urdu word uses joined forms. Letters with similar half shapes, such as س, ش, ص and ض, appear together so your child learns the small differences.
