About This Worksheet
4 combines a slanting line, a sleeping line and a standing line, so it takes a little more planning than 1 or 7. Page 1 gives your child a full page of 4s to practise the shape on its own.
Page 2 mixes 1, 7 and 4 in one row, so your child switches between three different shapes. Each row starts with a model number on a maths block grid to copy.
Skills Your Child Practises
- Writing the number 4
- Reviewing 1 and 7
- Switching between different number shapes
- Neat sizing within grid boxes

- Show your child the three strokes that make a 4.
- Complete the page of 4s first, then the mixed page.

With only 2 pages, you can do one a day or both in one short session.
What comes after Week 5?
Week 6 adds the number 6 and mixes it with 1, 7 and 4.
